In the first instance come to the Club on a Sunday or on the Club night which is a Thursday and ask to speak to a Club Officer or a member of the General Committee. You should then be invited to become a prospective member which simply means attending the Club and taking part in most of our activities. After a reasonable time you should be able to persuade two members to propose and second your application to join the Club. You will then be given an application form which is placed on the Club notice board for a period of one month. You must pay the Joining fee and Membership fee before handing in your form. General Committee Meetings are held on the last Tuesday of most months. You will be voted on at the next convenient meeting.)

Being very much a “do it ourselves” Club, a fair amount of personal commitment is expected of members. For instance, during the winter each member is asked to participate in our working parties which are held on the first Sunday of each WINTER month. Prospective members are welcome to participate on these occasions

If you purchase a boat from a member of the Club, you are strongly advised to speak to a Flag Officer regarding a mooring as moorings are not transferable upon the sale of a boat and a member cannot promise or imply that you will be given or lent a mooring.

Having said all that it must be said that the Club has a tradition of doing all it can to help new members with moorings. It must also be said, however that the Club welcomes owners who intend to sail or use their boats regularly but discourages those who wish only to use our facilities as a cheap place to store a boat!
