EYC strives to provide sailing activities to all young people who are of school age, and those involved within an activity or youth group.  With opportunities for everyone to get out onto the water and experience sailing, EYC is the ideal location for groups to come down and take part in either a taster session or learn to sail on a Royal Yachting Association (RYA) course

EYC is able to offer flexible session times that fit around school timetables and can offer sessions on days that groups meet up.  Weekend session are also available.

All sessions are run by qualified RYA instructors with water-based activities supported by safety boats and monitored by Senior Instructors.  All activities are fully Risk Assessed and operate to the national guidelines and procedures    required by the National Governing Body of Sailing

 Session Information:

Two-hour sessions can be tailored to suit your timetable between 9am to 5pm during the week.  All the necessary equipment is provided, however the following items must be brought along by each participant:

An old track suit to be worn underneath waterproof clothing

Swim suit / shorts to be worn under a wet suit

Old trainers that can get wet or sailing shoes (if you have them)

Towel, change of clothing and dry shoes to go home in

Sun hat, cream and glasses

Bottle of water

Session Costs:

£15 per head for groups up to 6 (minimum group size per session)

£14 per head for groups up to 9

£13 per head for groups up to 12

£12 per head for groups up to 15 (maximum group size per session)

The ratio of sailors to instructors for these sessions is 5 : 1 with safety boats and a Senior Instructor supervising all water-based activities
