I found this rather nice article about Erith Yacht Club when searching for something else.  It is from the South East Area Topper squads after the training and open racing we held for them in April this year.

Thank you to them for the kind words and thank you to the Club members who helped out to make it a successful (if busy) weekend.

What a busy weekend at EYC this last weekend (7 & 8 May)

On Saturday we had day one of an adult Level 1 and a youth Stage 1 course with 5 kids from Bromley Police Cadets and two of our cruisers launched for the sailing season.

Sunday was even busier with the above courses on day 2, a JYS kids session running with the Bexley sailing team in attendance, our Rear-Commodore launching his cruiser AND we were inspected by the RYA! Cruiser members also took advantage of the weather to take a trip to Greenwich YC or just potter on the river by the Club

It was beautiful weather and we had a great turn out of boats on the water with adults and kids.  Thank you all for helping make it such a good weekend.

Today EYC hosted an RYA workshop day. It covered very useful aspects of how to retain members, introduce new ones and look for sources of funding and promoting your club and its activites.

Thank you to Steve and Sam for taking the time to help and support us. There is a lot of information  for us to digest and act on.
