Just keep an eye on the weather for the weekend.

If any cruiser sailors want to join in and take some crew then make yourselves known on the day.

Volunteers’ Day, 23 March 2014.

The aim of the day:

  • To introduce new members to some of the activities in the Club requiring support.

Who is it for?

    • This is for all members who want to help out.
    • The water-based activities are aimed for those with relevant qualifications and skills to support sailing and training activities.

Sunday Sailing for 16 March

The success of last Sunday has generated interest in more this coming Sunday.  Details are:

TIME: From 10.30 (HW is 1.30pm)

BOAT HIRE: £5 per person (for members)

This is a great opportunity for people to get some supported sailing. Also, those who have done powerboat courses can have a chance to get practice on the water acting as safety crew/skipper.

This is also day 2 of the cruiser Frostbite Race from EYC to Greenwich YC.

Thames Valley Instructor Training day - 22 March 2014

To be held at Paper Court, near Ripley in Surrey. A great way of getting up-to-date with RYA information and includes practical sessions. I hope some of you can make it. It is worth while and will link nicely to our Training Day on 23 March.

Link to book (look for Thames Valley):

Date: Tuesday 8th & Wednesday 9th APRIL

Time: 12pm.

Ed is running an Assistant Instructor course/refresher on these two days and is happy for the more experienced youth (Stage 2 level) to go out sailing during the afternoon of the course.

If you want to go, please let us know: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. so Ed knows who to expect.

If any 'older' youth want to sail then feel free to come along too!!
